Festival of Research: Celebrating Jersey’s Diverse Discoveries
The University College Jersey (UCJ) Festival of Research 2025 is an annual event committed to stimulating discussion around topics of interest to our island’s researcher community and acts as a platform to showcase current and future research plans, celebrate successes and facilitate networking opportunities.
We are delighted to share plans for the second research festival which will take place on Wednesday 21 May in the Great Hall at Highlands College, featuring presentations and academic posters from staff and students, with time for networking and discussions.
Our aims for the UCJ Festival of Research 2025 are to encourage awareness of the diverse nature of research taking place in Jersey at UCJ, Highlands College, the Jersey International Centre of Advance Studies (JICAS) and within Health; enabling collaboration both internally and externally; and providing a platform to embed the principles of research and collaboration and enhance our research culture.
This year’s festival will focus on both staff and student research across disciplines and organisations showcasing the depth and breadth of research undertaken in Jersey.
University College Jersey is hopeful this will continue for many years, including research from both established projects and new ideas.
Attendance is free of charge and open to all University College Jersey and Highlands College staff and students and well as invited stakeholders and guests.

Picturing Research Gallery
We invite submissions to our ‘Picturing Research Gallery’. These should be submitted as a single PowerPoint slide using visual imagery and short descriptions to communicate your research.
We welcome artistic representations or visual outputs of the research to show a snapshot into work being undertaken.
