MasonBreese – Jersey’s leading change and project management consultancy – and University College Jersey (UCJ) – the Island’s leading provider of higher and further education – have joined forces in a new and exciting education partnership.
Throughout the next 12 months, MasonBreese will be the lead sponsor of UCJ, providing support to the higher education institution and its students. The new partnership will enable UCJ to raise its profile through a number of high-profile initiatives and promotional activity, including the UCJ Graduation Ceremony, which is set to take place on Friday 14th September 2018 to celebrate UCJ’s class of 2018 graduates.
The sponsorship will also enable the funding of a programme of extracurricular activity, to benefit the lives of UCJ students, whilst boosting the awareness of UCJ in the Island’s community. A bright, young team of UCJ ambassadors will be facilitating the programme, which will focus on events-led initiatives such as sporting/recreational activities, volunteering, and providing platforms for students to network within the business community.
Vernon Breese, Director at MasonBreese, said, “The MasonBreese Change Academy for graduates and the work of UCJ are so closely related, a relationship may have been inevitable, but we are delighted it has come for us at so timely a point in our growing business. The value in working together to help young graduates fashion a pathway into an industry and support UCJ with its broader ambitions is a privilege as well as a welcome opportunity for us all. We view this new partnership between MasonBreese and UCJ as a significant investment in terms of time and commitment and we seek to make the very most of it together.
2018 promises to be an exciting new year of development for both our organisations and we have already identified some interesting new ways to change the landscape for the better. We are very much looking forward to working closely with Steve Lewis and his team.”
Steve Lewis, Principal of Highlands College, added, “I am delighted that Jersey’s leading change and project management company, MasonBreese, has agreed to sponsor University College Jersey for the next 12 months. MasonBreese will be working with UCJ to raise the profile of its provision and Highlands College as a whole. As well as sponsoring many worthwhile projects, MasonBreese are keen to take an active role within our College and support our students with work experience and job opportunities. I am thrilled to be welcoming MasonBreese into our college community and look forward to a very exciting year ahead working with them.”
In addition to the important work the partnership will achieve with UCJ, sponsorship from MasonBreese will also be used to fund the materials required to run a 6th Form cross-college Student Ambassador Programme. The programme will enable Highlands College to engage with and recruit a team of enthusiastic students who will represent Highlands College with pride and excellence.
