Who is this course for?
The Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy Studies is a qualification that has been specifically designed to develop learners’ practical skills by covering the following mandatory units; facial skincare, waxing, eyelash and eyebrow treatments, manicure, pedicure, client care and health and safety.
To further enhance their practical skills learners will have the opportunity complete the following optional units; the application of tanning techniques, applying make-up and instruction on make-up application and eyelash perming.
Underpinning this qualification learners will develop a sound knowledge of health and safety practice and they can also choose optional units that cover effective salon reception duties and retail stock display. Learners will also develop knowledge and understanding of the practical skills learned throughout this qualification. The purpose of this qualification is to develop skills in beauty therapy to a high level of occupational ability, to enable learners to perform their own salon services.
This VTCT Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy Studies course, offered in the evening with blended learning approach, provides:

What are the entry requirements for the course?
Candidates should be over 18. Employment in the beauty industry is desirable, but not essential.
A thorough understanding of both spoken and written English is essential due to the compulsory assessments and complex vocabulary needed for Anatomy and Physiology (if deemed necessary an additional English course must be taken at student’s own cost).
This course requires evidenced, extensive home study to include written assignments and revision for in-College on-line exams.

A 35 week part-time course commencing in September 2024
