Mollie Perrett is the first ever UCJ student to represent the University of Plymouth at the British Universities and College Sport Championships.
A PB, club record, and county record for UCJ student!
UCJ student Mollie Perrett secured a personal best, a club record, and a county record with her final score in archery at the British Universities and College Sport Championships.
Mollie Perrett is the first ever UCJ student to represent the University of Plymouth at the Championships and says: “It was a great weekend with some tricky conditions; Saturday was a ranking round where I finished 10th.
“Then, match play where I advanced to the quarter finals and finished 6th out of 47.”
On the Sunday Mollie took part in a shoot spread over three different distances where she again finished 6th out of 47. It was on this day that Mollie achieved a personal best, a club record, and a county record with her final score.
In a note to Andrew McGinnigle, Deputy Head of UCJ, Mollie says: “Thank you again for your support in helping me to be able to compete at this competition and allowing me the opportunity to shoot at this event. It is greatly appreciated.”
Mollie represented Jersey in archery at the 2023 Islands Games. The first year Childhood Studies student has also competed at many National and International competitions in both team and individual events. She has shot for Jersey and as part of the County team representing Hampshire.
UCJ Deputy Head, Andrew McGinnigle says: “We hope Mollie will inspire other UCJ athletes to compete under the University of Plymouth banner.”
