University College Jersey is the leading provider of higher education in the Channel Islands with nearly 200 students. Along with the financial benefits of studying in Jersey compared with costs in the UK, 95% of UCJ graduates have a firm job offer before graduating.
Ben Bennett, head of Higher Education at University College Jersey said, “We are immensely proud of our students’ achievements this year. At HNC, Foundation degree and Honours degree level, our learners have really excelled, achieving strong academic results as well as benefiting from really useful experience on work-placements which has equipped them with the skills for employment. Our students come from a diverse range of backgrounds and we are particularly proud of the distance they have travelled. This ceremony represents the culmination of that journey and we wish them every success for the future”.
The 2016 graduation event at University College Jersey sees 84 graduates receiving their degrees from Plymouth University and London South Bank University. Students and their families will be justifiably proud this year as the results were some of the best ever in Higher Education in Jersey, with 83% of honours degree students graduating with either a first-class or upper second-class degree.
