Who is this course for?
This course is for school-leavers and career-switchers who are interested in gaining a business degree alongside an accelerated start to a career in business or financial services.
Jersey’s financial services sector accounts for over 40% of the island’s economy and more than 20% of the work force, offering a range of fulfilling and rewarding careers in areas from banking to trust, compliance and corporate governance.
This programme was designed in partnership with several leading local businesses. Subject to meeting the employers’ requirements and passing an interview, students will be offered a trainee position and extensive work experience with a competitive salary, enabling participants to learn whilst they earn and graduate free of debt.
Study programme
The degree will be delivered on a block, and day-release, basis. Students will attend one full study week in college, followed by one day per week, in each 10-week term.
Students will also be fully supported with access to learning resources and tutoring support in our virtual learning environment (VLE).
How long is this course and when does it run?
This is a three-year programme, comprising a two-year foundation degree at Level 5, followed by a one-year Honours degree at level 6. The programme starts in September 2025

What are the entry requirements for the course?
· 64 UCAS points
· GCSE Maths and English at grade 4 or above
· Other Level 3 qualifications will be considered and mature applicants with relevant professional experience or qualifications will be considered on an individual basis.

How will it be assessed?
The course is assessed through a combination of assignments, essays, coursework and formal written exams.
What does this course lead on to?
A fulfilling career in banking and financial services, with further professional qualifications, or higher-level academic study, for example, Masters in Business Administration (MBA)
How much will it cost?
Fees for the 2024-2025 academic year have yet to be confirmed, but will not be more than £9250. Most applicants for this programme will be eligible to have their tuition fee paid by Student Finance.
