People with an existing IMI Level 2 Motor Vehicle qualification (or equivalent), and who are currently employed in the automotive industry.

How long is this course?
This two-day workshop will be offered on four different dates:
- Thursday, 18 April & Friday, 19 April 2024
- Thursday, 16 May & Friday, 17 May 2024
- Thursday, 30 May & Friday, 31 May 2024
- Wednesday, 03 July & Thursday, 04 July 2024
What will I study on this course?
The content of this qualification has been designed to give learners the knowledge and skills required to work safely on High Voltage systems on Electric/Hybrid vehicles while carrying out the removal and refitting of High voltage parts. This may include vehicles that may have or have had damage to their high-energy/electrical system.
Delegates will learn how to: understand the hazards of working on electric and hybrid vehicles; safely prepare the vehicle and themselves with use of correct PPE (Personal Protective Equipment); and be assessed on the removal and refitting of parts in the High-Voltage energy system (such as the batteries).
What Qualification will I gain?
IMI Level 3 Award in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle system repair and replacement.
What does this course lead on to?
Qualification in the EV curriculum to facilitate safe practice when working in industry.
How much will it cost?
This course is part funded by Skills Jersey through the Business License fund and participants are contributing only 25% of the total costs.
The cost to each student is £210.
Please note that included in the fees you will be provided with insulated safety gloves and composite safety boots.

- You hold a qualification in Motor vehicle to L2 or equivalent
- You will wear long sleeves on the training days
- You will abide by all safety recommendations
