Who is this course for?
This course is designed for students with a relevant Level 2 qualification and background knowledge in the beauty industry.
What are the entry requirements for the course?
- Candidates should be over 18 and must possess either a recent Certificate of Anatomy & Physiology (within three years) and a Body Massage, Aromatherapy or Reflexology Certificate.
- A thorough understanding of both spoken and written English is required due to the compulsory assessments and complex vocabulary needed for Anatomy and Physiology. There will be an English assessment for all applicants and if deemed necessary an additional English course must be taken – at student’s own cost – PRIOR to taking this course.
- NOTE: STUDENTS MAY BE WITHDRAWN IF THEIR LEVEL OF ENGLISH IS NOT SUFFICIENT.
- This course requires extensive home study to include written assignments and revision for in College on-line exams.
- It is NOT permitted to miss any of the sessions once you have commenced the course. Please refer to the Highlands College website www.highlands.ac.uk for the appropriate terms dates for the year.
- Any holidays need to be booked out of term/course times.
How long is this course?
A 12 week part-time, on demand course:
one day a week – 6.00pm to 9.30pm

What will I study on this course?
- Prepare stones and treatment area for stone therapy
- Assess the client and prepare treatment plan for stone therapy
- Apply stone therapy techniques
- Use of hot and cold stones and chrakras
- Placement of the stones
- Monitor and maintain health and safety practice in the salon
- Anatomy and physiology of the body
What Qualification will I gain?
Level 3 Award in Stone Therapy Massage

On-line theory test and practical assessments

How much will it cost?
£378 course fee (including registration and exam). Total payable on enrolment to secure your place – fees are non-refundable.
UNIFORM – Charcoal tunic and trousers and black shoes or own salon uniform if already in industry. Order forms for tunic, trousers and shoes will be sent with your acceptance letter.
