Who is this course for?
This WSET course provides basic knowledge to first-time employees in the wine industry and for the general public who have an interest in wine appreciation.
What are the entry requirements for the course?
Candidates must be over 18 years of age.
A thorough understanding of the English language is required due to the written examination.
How long is this course?
This is a 4 week part-time course.
Wednesday evenings, from 6.00pm to 8.00pm.

What will I study on this course?
This qualification includes:
- The main styles of wine
- A systematic approach to tasting wine
- The characteristics of common grape varieties
- Service of wine
- Pairings of food and wine
- Health and Safety, and legal issues
What Qualification will I gain?
Wine and Spirit Education Trust: Level 1 Award in Wines.
How is the course assessed?
95% attendance is vital for successful completion of the course. Wine tasting is part of every class.
A multiple choice exam paper of 30 questions. Please be advised that exam is optional.
What does this course lead on to?
Wine and Spirit Education Trust Level 2 Award in wines and Spirits.
How much will it cost?
£111 Tuition Fee
Plus £48 Exam Fee (exam is optional)
